There may be occasional travel into their&nbsp;<strong>San Diego</strong>&nbsp;office (once safe to return to office). This is a&nbsp;<strong>Permanent Direct-Hire&nbsp;</strong>opportunity.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Hands-on application management and support for AWS cloud and on-prem production environments, including full-stack diagnosis, fault resolution and root cause analysis.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proactive monitoring of production systems and identify issues before service impact.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Drive and Implement monitoring tools/metrics/reports for tracking application/service performance.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Lead service and system performance analysis, service capacity planning, and service continuity validation for multiple applications.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Review and influence design, architecture, standards, and methods for deploying, monitoring, and operating services and applications</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Identify areas for process automation and develop automated scripts and tools for regular operational activities.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Analyze cloud service utilization and efficiency to optimize costs</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensure the quality of our service release artifacts by reviewing documented processes, rollback plans, release notes and test evidence</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Collaborate and partner with service, data, system, and network engineering teams to ensure optimal application performance and resiliency</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;5 years of relevant work experience in a high-volume and/or critical production, software environment.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;5 years hands-on Linux experience (RHEL or CentOS preferred)</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;3 years hands-on AWS experience &ndash; deploying, supporting, and managing applications</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience with building automation into daily operational processes through one or more scripting languages (python, shell, go).</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning of Java applications.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience with monitoring and log management tools (ie: DataDog, CloudWatch, Splunk)</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience with automation/configuration management (ie: Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong verbal and written communication skills, self-directed, mentor, quick learner, team player, personable with management and team members, organized and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience in quality assurance and validating Java and C++ applications in a production environment.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Solid understanding of networking systems and protocols &ndash; HTTP, TCP/IP, SSL, DNS.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Hands-on experience in building and maintaining public cloud infrastructure for micro services.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience wo
