<p>Our client provides cybersecurity automation services to both large enterprises and government agencies in the US and abroad.&nbsp;&nbsp;Their focus is on vulnerability assessment automation, supply chain risk analysis automation, and security policy implementation &amp; testing automation</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>They are seeking to add a&nbsp;<strong>Sr. Software Engineer</strong>&nbsp;to their San Diego, CA based team.&nbsp;This is a direct hire position which offers a competitive salary, benefits offering and growth potential.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Overview:</strong></p> <p>As a Sr. Software Engineer you will be responsible for several exciting new products our client is developing for government contracts they have been awarded. You will design, architect, develop/implement and test the product with our client&rsquo;s team of talented and like-minded individuals.&nbsp;They make heavy use of&nbsp;<strong>Java</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Python</strong>, and also&nbsp;<strong>JavaScript</strong>. They are using and have used many different technologies over the years to meet their needs, and what they are looking for most of all is someone who is able and willing to very quickly learn new things. Example technologies they have used and are using include: Java, Python, JavaScript (bootstrap etc.), graph &amp; relational DBs, metamodeling/ontologies, artificial intelligence, containers, VMs, Eclipse IDE, Git, PHP.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;BS Degree or higher in Computer Science desired but not required.&nbsp;All candidates will be required to pass a code challenge.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Looking for a quick learner who is passionate about technology, and willing to explore new technologies often.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Prior defense industry experience highly desired</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Prior proposal writing, supply chain, supplier management desired</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Understanding of commercial development processes and working in a project-based capacity highly desired.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Able to write technical documentation, reports and summaries that can be submitted to our customers</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Skills and Experience:</strong></p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;5+ years&rsquo; experience in software engineering, software, and architecture</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Significant and demonstrable development experience in several programming languages, incl. Java, Python, JavaScript</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrable experience developing web user interfaces (JavaScript etc.).</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrable experience developing backend and data analytics applications, incl. databases</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrable experience APIs.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrable experience of implementing best coding practices</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrable experience of producing test cases and testing software</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrable experience with infrastructure, incl. containers, VMs, cloud platforms etc.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Desirable: cybersecurity experience, incl. vulnerability assessment, pen-testing, hardware hacking, access control etc.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Desirable: Significant and demonstrable experience developing applications using the Eclipse ecosystem</p>
