Service & Installation Technician

This role is a mix between setup of test systems to validate and troubleshoot customer complaints, installations and repairs on job sites, providing remote and in-person support to customers as needed. This role also requires to be on the on-call shift rotation, which is currently, every 2 weeks. There are times in which the person in this role is traveling/overnight stays for several days at a time. **This is not an IT support role** Required Qualifications and Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Eligible and authorized to work in Canada Ability to be on-call and travel to various worksites within Ontario as needed (currently on a two-week rotation) Experience with low voltage systems, Nurse Call, access control systems, CCTV Strong knowledge of electronics, system cabling, and usage of digital voltmeters Good understanding of wiring diagrams (component level experience not required, but is a plus), Relay logic, Sub nets, and VLANs Ability to configure and edit network setting on various hardware environments VMware and system virtualization, deployment, and setup Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Communication and Documentation Read Floor Plans Read Schematics Read design sheets and proposals Generate status reports Update as-build documentation Generate deficiency reports Parts tracking (inventory, RMA) Complete commissioning reports Use Microsoft Word, Excel Hardware/Software configuration IP address assignment and change Ping network devices Manage and configure device properties Manage and configure Linux server Remote browser configuration or app utilities Hardware installation End point/Device installation (mount & connection) Cable installation Cable termination Device verification Cable verification Tools (Will Be Provided By Austco) Wire strippers RJ45 Crimp tool Multimeter (voltage, current, short) Network tester Side cutter Screw driver Laptop Values/Competencies Customer service focused Ability to work autonomously and able to self-manage, although working as part of a team Possess a strong sense of integrity and honesty Detail oriented and strive for excellence Take ownership and be proactive Innovative and progressive Strong time management and organizational skills Behaviors Possess a positive attitude and is polite in nature Strong sense of urgency Excellent cross-functional communication Problem-Solving Ability to work well on a team Ability to work well under short timelines Austco Healthcare provides equal employment opportunities to all persons.
