<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong><br /> As a Product Manager on our product management team, you will lead the development of products that solve business and user problems by collaborating with others.</p> <ul> <li>Define and manage product requirements for developers that provide the best solution for business needs and market requirements.</li> <li>Serve as agile/scrum product owner. Attend daily stand-ups, provide guidance, resolve impediments. Prioritize the needs of the business and users, then find the most efficient solution for developers</li> <li>Build a strong partnership with developers and quality assurance. Collaborate to find efficient ways to satisfy business and user needs.</li> <li>Prioritize own work and that of the development team based on relative importance to the business. Prioritize the agile backlog accordingly. Manage scope to deliver value each sprint.</li> <li>Compose technical information into clear, concise product documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>Use an approach that allows maximum flexibility through the use of configuration options, such that an array of client needs can be met without requiring additional development work.</li> <li>Supervise, delegate while providing guidance and support, provide positive and constructive feedback</li> </ul> <strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br /> <em>Include the following. Others may be assigned.</em> <ul> <li>Work closely with market-facing product management staff to understand the needs of each market segment as they pertain to assigned products and initiatives and those of team members. Critically evaluate information gained from multiple sources; reconcile conflicting inputs, through configurations where appropriate.</li> <li>Champion the product vision, strategy and roadmap to internal peers.</li> <li>Share product enhancement ideas and their relative priority with market-facing product management staff.</li> <li>Define and manage product requirements for developers that provide the best solution for business needs and market requirements conveyed by market-facing product management staff.</li> <li>Documentation includes user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, business rules, data and process flows, functional and technical specifications, and data/analytics/reporting when warranted.</li> <li>Use an approach that allows maximum flexibility through the use of configuration options, such that an array of client needs can be met without requiring additional development work. Set up the default product configuration that will be the starting point for client implementations.</li> <li>Use knowledge and experience to identify interdependencies as well as opportunities to leverage existing functionality for newly defined needs. Apply knowledge of current technologies/concepts (e.g., system architecture, software development languages, API web services, Hadoop, SQL). Guide team.</li> <li>Consistently address performance &amp; reliability, compliance &amp; security, usability &amp; design, analytics &amp; reporting, admin &amp; content management, and browser use &amp; compatibility.</li> <li>Create annotated user interface wireframes using content, leveraging work by user experience designer.</li> <li>Build a strong partnership with developers and quality assurance. Collaborate to find efficient ways to satisfy business and user needs. Monitor collaboration amongst product team members.</li> <li>Serve as agile/scrum product owner. Attend daily stand-ups, provide guidance, and resolve impediments. When making decisions, prioritize the needs of the business and users, then find the most efficient solution for developers.</li> <li>Prioritize own work and that of the development team based on relative importance to the business. Prioritize the agile backlog accordingly. Manage scope to deliver value each sprint.</li> <li>Review and provide input on tech approach and tech solution design. Conduct initial User Acceptance Testing (UAT).</li> <li>Identify and resolve complex issues; Anticipate risks and plan to mitigate those that would be severe.</li> <li>Facilitate process revisions or improvements with Implementation team if warranted.</li> <li>Compose technical information into clear, concise product documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>Train others internally on products and recent development.</li> <li>Know all common and advanced capabilities and configurations for assigned products.</li> <li>Participate in retrospectives to assess what is working well and lessons learned; propose process improvements.</li> <li>Supervise, delegate with guidance, provide positive and constructive feedback</li> <li>Lead large cross-enterprise teams</li> </ul> <strong>FREQUENT INTERACTIONS: </strong> <ul> <li>You will frequently interact with product management team members and Dev/QA. You will also observe and learn from users.</li> </ul> <strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES </strong><br /> <em>If direct report positions are listed below, the following responsibilities will be performed in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws.
